Hardest decision I’ve ever had to make.

My answer will probably get a lot of hate, but let me explain.

I had to cut my mother and my sister out of my life because of their decisions to vote for Trump.

It’s not because I hate Trump, which I most certainly do; it’s because of his very vocal desire to remove rights from women and the LGBTQ community, of which I am a part.

On many occasions, he has stated very clearly that women should not have the right to bodily autonomy. He has stated that the LGBTQ should lose their right to marry or adopt children.

I have done my research on what this man is about since the 1980s. I have listened to him speak. I cannot abide anyone who thinks it’s okay to strip rights from others.

My decision to cut my mom and sister out of my life isn’t because I don’t agree with who they voted for; it’s because they chose to vote for someone who wants to take rights away, all so they can save money on eggs and gas, as if the president has control over that.

This difficult decision was about morals and lack of compassion.
