Do I spend more time thinking about the future or the past?

Happy Sunday!

For a long time, I spent time in both the past and the future, but lately, I have been looking forward to the future and what is in store for me as an author. I see myself selling hundreds of books and gaining a following of happy readers. I’m doing my best to make that happen by engaging with my readers and promoting my books regularly.

Not long ago, I was stuck in the past (high school – the greatest years of my life, and in my twenties and thirties – because my grandparents were still alive). I missed those days. I missed my youth. I missed my health. Then I realized I can’t change any of that. It’s done. Yes, I can go back there and remember fondly, but to stay there is futile.

I need to live in the present, because this I can control. My future I can control. I can make this time into what I want. I want a better future, and I can. make that happen because it hasn’t happened yet.

I hope I’m making sense.
